What are you experiencing?

Urinary leakage

Leaking urine when coughing, laughing or exerting yourself may be stress incontinence. A strong, sudden urge to urinate may indicate a different problem. Distinguishing between them helps guide treatment.

Changes in vaginal sensation

A feeling of looseness or changes after childbirth require assessment of muscles, tissue and function. Pelvic floor strength cannot be determined solely by how sex feels.

Dryness, pain or a bulging sensation

Dryness and pain have various causes. A feeling of heaviness or a protruding bulge should be assessed for possible prolapse; do not assume laser tightening will resolve it.

Understand the procedure

What happens during a vaginal laser session?

Using an anatomical model, the doctor shows how the laser is applied inside the vagina and describes the protocol used in his practice.

Nonsurgical vaginal laser treatment is different from vaginal tightening surgery or prolapse repair. Before it is proposed, the available evidence, limitations, risks and other options should be explained.

Evidence for laser treatment of incontinence, laxity or dryness symptoms is limited and does not allow benefits to be guaranteed. The timing and aftercare discussed in the video do not replace individual instructions.

Seeking advice about urinary incontinence

One testimonial, individual follow-up

A patient describes how urinary leakage affected her daily life and speaks with the doctor one month after a laser session.

Her account does not establish that the treatment works the same way for other people. Your type of incontinence, medical history and pelvic floor assessment guide the plan. Video in Spanish.

Training with guidance

Pelvic floor exercises and physiotherapy

Pelvic floor training involves learning to recognize, contract and relax these muscles correctly. Supervised physiotherapy adapts exercises to your condition and checks how you perform them.

Supervised training is a recommended initial option for stress or mixed urinary incontinence. It requires sustained practice and follow-up; it is not simply about doing more contractions.

In the video, the doctor explains his program using a stimulation chair and physiotherapy support. The chair is not equivalent to exercise and does not replace an assessment: its indications and contraindications must be reviewed.

Choosing an option based on the diagnosis

  • Physiotherapy and supervised exercises: to learn the muscle training appropriate for your needs.
  • Habits and bladder training: may form part of managing urgency or other symptoms.
  • Dryness treatments: nonhormonal or hormonal options may be considered depending on the cause and medical history.
  • Pessaries or surgery: may be considered for prolapse or specific situations.
  • Vaginal laser treatment: requires particular discussion of uncertainty in the evidence and alternatives; it is not a general solution for all symptoms.

Energy-based procedures can also cause pain, burns, scarring or other complications. Discuss these risks and how they are managed with the doctor.

Frequently asked questions

Does laser treatment cure urinary incontinence?

A cure cannot be promised. Evidence is limited, and the outcome in a testimonial does not predict your own progress. The first step is identifying the type of incontinence and discussing available options.

Does vaginal tightening correct prolapse?

It should not be presented as a general solution for prolapse. The type and severity need assessment; management may include physiotherapy, a pessary or surgery depending on the case.

Does the chair replace pelvic floor exercises?

They are not the same. Physiotherapy teaches coordination and individualized training; the chair is a device whose usefulness and contraindications are assessed separately.

Does laser treatment improve low sexual desire?

Desire depends on physical, emotional, relationship and health factors. Improvement with laser treatment is not guaranteed. If this concerns you, a broader assessment is needed.

How many sessions do I need, and what do they cost?

The number of sessions, suitability, follow-up and estimate are determined during your assessment. The protocol shown in the video is not automatically applied to every patient.
